[DRUM CLASS] NOTICE

Hi all :)

Unfortunately, there won't be any drum classes this week due to many tests and vivas.

So instead, those with drum sticks can have a look at this video and learn the rolls by well hitting the.. floor? table? anything that will bounce back (your bed and pillow will not work).

If you don't have a drumstick, try the paradiddle of:

1. LRLL RLRR
2. LRLRLL RLRLRR
3. LRLRLRLL RLRLRLRR
4. LRLL RLRR LRLRLL RLRLRR LRLRLRLL RLRLRLRR (combination of all)

Try at a slow and steady speed and speed up as you can. This can help to improve your hand coordination :D Good luck trying :D

And good luck to everyone with your test and vivas!!! Hope you all can continue to practice what you have learnt and not give up drumming :D

The long-awaited class is here now!!!

As this is the first meeting, it will be a brief introduction of how this class is going to be conducted and so forth.

[DRUM CLASS] :D

Hey guys (gals included too of course!)
Welcome to the LGM family!
Hope you guys enjoyed the nite :D

First of all, I would like to inform you all that there will be an introduction class to drum after the mid-sem break :D The time and venue will be updated soon~~

Next, due to limited studio availability, we will have to reduce and limit each practice per student accordingly and we are working hard now to get a permanent studio for us to practice (at our own will) without having to get through all those approvals~

For future drum classes, slots will be posted on this blog and it will be one a FIRST COME FIRST SERVE basis where any slots that has been taken, will depend on who put their name on first~
But please note that when you have already booked the slot, please make sure you can attend so as not to waste our precious time (and tutors' too :P) and let others have a chance to learn.

From time to time, I will share videos and stuffs related to drumming in our LGM facebook group.

Due to unforeseen circumstances, I am sorry to inform that there will be no drum class this weekend. Also, drum lessons will be stopped until further notice. Any inconvenience caused is deeply regretted.

Drum Tab Sharing: According To You

Feel bored with those slow tempo songs that I had posted before? Then this one might just fit your taste xD

Its According To You by Orianthi, and its tempo is around 131 BPM. The fill ins are not complicated, just that it is now running at faster tempo

A great drummer should be able to play various kind of songs at various kind of speed, so remember to give a try on this one :)

Drum Tab Sharing: Ga Lao aka 掉了

Recently while zap-zap my LGM stuff and I found another "not so difficult" song, 张惠妹 aka 阿密特(Amit) mia 掉了。 I played this song 1 year ago, so I rewrite the drum tab and share to you all :)

It is not very long, just 1 full A4 page only, some of you might feel that its too simple to play, but aiya cincai la, u can increase the song u can played by 1 nia xD

So below is the drum tab, as I said, not too long, have fun :)

No Drum Session on Coming Week

Hi there, just want to share some info with you guys.

Well, LGM had participated in composing competition organized by NGC aka 北工站 (go here for more info about the competition), and the final will be on next Sunday (6th May). 8 songs had been selected to perform on the Final (sounds like a great news o.O?)

Whenever there is a performance, there must be a series of practice and end up m room will be occupied =.=". So, There will be NO drum session for the coming week, sabarlah abang adik~~

1st Drum Session in Semester 2

Hi everyone, we are glad to tell you all that the drum session will resume again after LGM big day aka concert had come to it end. Since it had been awhile since last drum session, we would have it on 15th April (the Sun before mid sem break ends).

I guess I will be in the campus since Fri on that week, but I don't think there is people come back here on Sat. Anyway, if you all come back early and wish to have a class on 14th, just let me know.

Drum Session for Semester 2

Hi, it seems like this is the 1st post for this semester =.="

And so our litlegras's 12th concert had come to the end. Congratz every musicians especially DRUMMERS, determining to give your very best to deliver a great performance (clap)

Suppose I should start the drum lesson this weekend, but the music room is occupied for else purposes: We are rushing to get some song demos and send them for competition :) So the drum session will start after this mid sem break ya.

For the time being, just be patient, and use the time u have to polish up your timing, fill ins, drum beats, and play along with yr beloved songs la :)


Oh ya, since some of you saying that the quality of the drum tab photo is nt clear, I tried to fix it already, u can have a clearer version on the blog, or ask from me through skype  @kokchoy89 (Hopefully it wouldn't block us >.<)

Drum Tab Sharing: 那些年

Hi, there will be no more drum practice session until next semester (maybe until March 2012 @@), but it doesnt mean that the learning process has to pause until tat time :) Here i present to you another popular song punya drum tab, which is,  那些年.

 The drum part for this song is far more complex compared to the previous songs like 七裏香 and Need You Now, but it's good to have a look and give a try :)
