[DRUM CLASS] :D

Hey guys (gals included too of course!)
Welcome to the LGM family!
Hope you guys enjoyed the nite :D

First of all, I would like to inform you all that there will be an introduction class to drum after the mid-sem break :D The time and venue will be updated soon~~

Next, due to limited studio availability, we will have to reduce and limit each practice per student accordingly and we are working hard now to get a permanent studio for us to practice (at our own will) without having to get through all those approvals~

For future drum classes, slots will be posted on this blog and it will be one a FIRST COME FIRST SERVE basis where any slots that has been taken, will depend on who put their name on first~
But please note that when you have already booked the slot, please make sure you can attend so as not to waste our precious time (and tutors' too :P) and let others have a chance to learn.

From time to time, I will share videos and stuffs related to drumming in our LGM facebook group.

Holiday or Study Mode?

Greetings fellow ROCKERS! 

As we all know today is the supposed end-of-the-world day, but the sky is still as bright as ever (not expecting some meteors to fall to top of us kua).

Well, study week is going to be up next. Some of us will be heading home to unwind or to do some berry serious studying. 

LGM takes the opportunity to wish everyone 
"Merry Xmas & Happy New Year". May the new year be in favour of luck for everyone.

And also, "Hou, BAGUS, Hao, BAIK, HO, NanMai, Changa,
and GOOD LUCK" to all who will be taking their fearful finals paper. (here is when the graduated seniors will be commenting "finals?what is finals?").

LitleGras Family Day UPDATE

Hi all,
As most of you all will know, LitleGras Music Club's first Family Day will be this Saturday.

Details:-
Date: 21.8.2010
Venue: Sports Complex
Time: 8.30am to 12noon
Theme: LGM in Black
Attire: Proper sports attire, all bottoms need to be below the knee and please wear sport shoes.
Activities: Team based activities

In coherent with the theme, we invite everyone to wear black t shirts to Family Day 2010. Other clothing can be of any colour. No restrictions on the colour of your inner garments. =P
Do bring along your water bottles, spare change (if you want) and leave your golden necklaces or diamond rings in your hostel.
We will begin our activities at 9AM, but the registrations will begin at 8.30AM. As one of the LitleGras mission, we will want to cultivate a habit where we will begin our activities on time, that is 9AM. Please come earlier to avoid congestion as you will need to fill in your details for registration.

LitleGras Family Day

Hi all,
After a few weeks of studying, it is definitely important to have do some exercise and to stay healthy. All musicians also must keep fit to have stamina on the stage. With a healthy body, comes a healthy mind (I feel that I am getting lame).
In coherent with that, LitleGras, for the first time, will be organising a Family Day. This Family Day is similar to a Sports Day, but the games will be more friendly and less competitive. No physical training is needed before the event =).
What to expect in this event?
A day to meet new friends and the old old old seniors. Most of the activities are team based, so do not worry as the team members will help each other. Just bring your energy and your smiles that day as you will be needing it.

Time: 0830 to 1200 hours (8.30am to 12 noon)

Most of the details of the event is still under planning, but I will keep you all updated about it through this blog.

LitleGras Welcoming Night

Hi all to both new and old faces,
A new semester has begun. LitleGras Music Club has a new array of activities planned out throughout the whole year in addition to the annual activities that we had.
For the first activity of the year, LitleGras Music Club will be organising our Welcoming Nite. What to expect for this event? An explanation of LitleGras Music Club, an introduction of musical instruments, a few games and some performances of our homegrown songs is part of the agenda of the night.

Date: 29th July 2010 (Thursday)
Venue: DK 11
Time: 8.00PM

Anticipate a night full with music and association. Any new members, first years or even master students, are welcomed to attend this event. Bring along any of your friends that are interested, even those that haven't register with us.

I would like to apologize for the late information of the drum lesson's latest info. There will be NO MORE drum lesson this semester, and we will continue back as soon as the holiday ends.

Good luck for your mini project/assignment/test/exam, and enjoy your holiday afterward.

Stressed out with tests and finals? Due dates for all your assignments are coming soon? Or just feeling bored during the weekends with nothing to do?

Time : 11AM to 1 PM

Venue : Badminton Hall

Expectations : Fun filled, action packed and non stop laughter with constant chanting of HOU~! and Lazy Leg~!

LitleGras booked all three courts in that hall so the whole hall is ours during that time (thank you Arthur). YEAH~! So, bring along all your racquets, your cocks (shuttle cocks), and your energy. Plans after badminton includes cycling to Wang Ma for lunch.

Now, call all the LitleGrassians you know, ask them to bring their butts to the hall this Saturday. Hope to see everyone there.

Guitar Class

After a long wait, LitleGras' guitar department has decided to resume our guitar classes.
Day and Date: Thursday, 18th of March 2010
Time: 8.30PM
Venue: Foyer Lembaran

As usual:

• cut your finger nails before attending class
• bring along pen and paper (for your own use)
• bring your own guitar (if any), we can help you tune

To all Drummers...

After waiting for months, finally we get back our music room and the drum lesson can resume this week!!

So as usual, those who want to have drum session this weekend please come to music room at on Tuesday 8.30pm to book your drum session.

Please note that LitleGras do organize a fun trip to Penang at 20 March, so our drum session will concentrate on Sunday.

Battle of the Bands

Hi and a happy chinese new year,
As some of you all might know, USM engineering campus is organising a battle of the bands competition on 12 Mac,
LitleGras is encouraging the members to participate in this event,

We can form bands to go for the competition,
I think with good preparations and constructive support from the club, we have high chances of winning,
It will be a good learning experience as we can see how other bands work together,
So do not fret, as we will all support and help each and everyone that is interested in it,

Do not let this opportunity go to waste, as the closing date for registration is on 3rd of MARCH,
So those that is interested, or know someone that is interested,

Please contact Clifford by Monday so that necessary arrangements can be made.

Guitar lesson

To all guitar students and tutors, young and old,

Tomorrow's guitar class (8/10/2009, Thursday) will be held at JAYA CAFE, NOT at foyer lembaran. This is because there will be a talk given at the foyer lembaran that clashes with our guitar class slots. There will not be any changes in the time. SO... Be informed and be heard, tell your friends or even familiar faces that takings guitar lessons with us, inform them about the changes.

Guitar lesson

There will not be any guitar lessons on this Sunday (20/9/1009) and on Thursday (24/9/2009) for an obvious reason, RAYA HOLIDAYS!!!. Class will resume on the next coming Sunday (27/9/2009). Then, like normal, the classes will be like normal, Thursdays and Sundays 8-10 pm at foyer lembaran.
So, use this holiday to practice your guitar skills and to brush up on everything. Try to have some initiatives to search the internet on techniques and guitar skills. If you come across any problems, feel free to call or sms any of the tutors. You can even send us a message on any messengers (skype/msn/bla bla bla).
Last but not least, Happy holidays and enjoy your break. Cheers...

Attention drummers!!

There will be no drumming lessons this coming weekend due to tight schedule of song practice sessions. And another weekend after it will be the Raya Break and so that week also will not have drumming lesson. Lesson will be resumed after the Raya Break... This also means that you don't have to come at Tuesday Night to book your drumming slot. The next booking session will be at the Tuesday after Raya Break...

Although there are no drumming lessons you still get to improve your skills at your very own private room. Listen to songs and work on some basic rudiments and hand techniques... watch some nice drumming videos in your home from the Youtube or any other drumming websites you can find... Keep yourself motivated! You will become very good before you know it...

Guitar lessons

A general notice about Litle Gras Music Club's guitar lessons:-

• Classes are always held on thursdays and sundays, 8 pm to 10 pm. You can come any days, can come both days too. =)
  
• Classes are to be held at foyer lembaran, on top of lembaran cafe.
  
• New students are always welcomed, but when you do come for your first lesson, do inform us when you arrived.
• Classes will be on as usual unless it is canceled, which we will inform in the blog, or we will tell you during lessons.
  
• Try to keep your finger nails short before coming to guitar class. (sorry girls, can't keep long beautiful finger nails)
