Hihi, its me again, and tonight after watching the novel 那些年，我們一起追的女孩, I had searched some of the review / news bout this movie. And I found this, his talking in Beijing University. The way he talked is very interesting and maybe it may helps you when u need to stand in front, leading the audience and deliver your speech sweet and sound :) (It's a 2 hours speech, bit long but very meaningful, enjoy~)

Yo, welcome back to USM after a short mid sem break. I guess you all had tried your best to absorb all the skills and technique we shared with you during drum session. Maybe some of them already can play the song "Need You Now" without referring to the tab :)

Anyway, our drum class will continue on this weekend too. There will be some early slot on Saturday, specially   gives to those who will go for Penang Bridge Marathon this Sunday. Besides, since many of our band members  will go Marathon, Sunday will be their break and we can have more drum session.

Anyhow, for the people listed below, since you all had attended Drum session during 21-23Oct, so by right you all should not come to drum session this week. BUT, if it it already Friday and there are still some vacancies, you all are welcome to attend drumming session.

New Pair of DrumStick Anyone @@?

Since some of you are asking about where to get a pair of drumstick (to make u all more passion in learning drum), our beloved vice Pres. aka Tze Hoe proposed to help you all get them.

Harlo fellow LitleGras Drummer (or drummer to be): Since a lot of you all keep asking for where, when, how and what to buy for their 1st pair of drumstick, I have done some survey and looked for what is suitable for new drummers: So what do we have here? Well the package consists off: 1) 1 pair of drumsticks: 5A 2) 1 pair of drumsticks: 7A 3) 1 Drumstick bag (for 2 pairs) The price is at RM23 or RM27 I am not sure XP. So assume that the price does not change much, the price for 2 pairs of drumstick will be around RM 30. We are not confirm with the price, but Tze Hoe feel that the price wouldn't change much(engineering is all about making assumptions). Drum Session for coming Sunday (13 Nov)

Hmm, since there are people who asked for drum session on this coming weekend, so I try to squeeze some of the time for drum class la. By the way, during this last few days of mid sem break, besides studying for tests / doing assignment / outing with friends / travel, there are still things you can do to improve your drumming skill :)
Some of them are:
1. Practice things I jotted down on the write board in Music Room
2. Practice to play "Need You Now" by referring to the tab I wrote
3. Listen songs and get the drumming feel + listen some of the fill ins in the songs
4. Go to www.youtube.com and search for drum lesson. There are plenty of good drum teaching video out there, and one of the best video uploader for beginner is ScoopDeville04. You can learn many basic things there.

Also, due to Mayday Fever, I went and watched the movie "星空" and I found out that the theme song is interesting and easy to play too (except some left hand drag + a not so 9lat fill ins before bridge =.="). It's so glad (Glad because if you searched for English Song punya drum cover, its either the drum for the song is already quite difficult, or they add plenty of things to make them look pro >.<) that there is a guy who played drum cover for this song and it is exactly the same as the original song, so you can see how they play, easy to learn :)

Drum Tab Sharing: Need You Now

Holiday often disturb our drum lesson in music room, but not your own room!

Here I would like to share an easy song named Need You Now. The drum beat is not difficult at all (It's just the 1st drum beat u learnt in music room). For the time being, you can just ignore those fill ins since you all haven't touch them before. Just play the beat and make sure that you can keep playing it for the whole song :)

PS: The drum tab is done by my hearing, so I do not guarantee that it is 100% correct :)

LGM 2nd Drum Session (Schedule is Out!!!)

Hi again :)

For this post I am going to arrange the 2nd round of drum lesson. However, since we will have our karaoke competition on 23 Nov and we will perform some songs, music room will be used for song practice as well. So, for this week (21-23 Oct) and the week after mid sem break (18 - 21 Nov), it will be 1 round of drum lesson. In another word, if you choose to attend lesson on 21-23 Oct, you should not attend lesson on 19-21 Nov UNLESS it is already 18th Nov Morning and there is still vacancy for drum lesson.

Also, I am thinking of having classes on 28 to 30 Oct, but I am not sure if anyone interested to come at that time (because one of our senior guitarist doesn't go home during that Deepavali break, he can take care of classes on 29 Oct). So, please let me know how many ppl are interested in having drum lesson on 28 to 30 Oct so that I can arrange the class. Just post a comment on this blog (remember to mention your name) to tell me if you can attend class on 28 to 30 Oct.

Edit: the classes on 28 and 30 Oct are bonus. As long as you are here during that time, u can come and have class :)

Yo, welcome back to our beloved USM Campus and a warm welcome to all 1st year's who had just join our big family. Just like last year, we will implement online booking and 1st come 1st serve rules in arranging the drum lesson class.

Since the new comers and existing drum juniors are quite a huge number (>40 i guess), so we will have 3 persons in a 1.5 hour class. I will post this week's schedule at the end of the post.

U need to do booking EVERY WEEK ya. Reasons like song practice, failure to book Music Room, Tutor Busy/Away,  etc might cause some changes to the drum lesson schedule.

These are the schedule for the weekend's schedule. Note that there is a little bit special for Arthur's drum session. Our guitarist, Kok Loong wish to come and play along with you all during Arthur;s drum session. It is a good opportunities as you all will have the chance to play together with other instruments. So, I suggests that you all should have a try :).

LGM Drum Lesson

This time post a little bit early har, because I got meeting at 8pm. This week, Edwin and I are not around, so other tutors will take in charge of the drum session. Also, since this Saturday is the final for Battle of the Band, there will be no class on Saturday, and I hope you all can go and see how they play and perform on the stage. Hope that you all can be one of them in the future :)

Kok Choy is not around this week (going for MUROC National Competition, jia you!) so the fellow drummers and I gonna help him arrange the drum class for this weekend. As usual, the slots available are as below:

LGM Drum Lesson

Hi, welcome back to USM after the short CNY break.

I heard some people are asking when will be the next drum lesson. So, I would say the lesson starts this weekend, but I need to confirm which tutors whether they are free or not (because some may want to cont their CNY and some will have the Night on this coming weekend too).

So, kindly visit LGM blog on Tues 8pm to check if schedule is been posted out. If there is a schedule, then there is a drum session. If no schedule then we will start next week.

Those who want to come for drum lesson can you pls left a comment here? I want to estimate how much session needed. Thank you~
